The groom, Rianor5, had actually been a part-time editor for our magazine. Before any further actions were taken, we got the opportunity to speak with him on behalf of the married couple. Of course, this marriage is not legal as of right now because there were no official papers to be signed. Still, we got a hold of the groom to elaborate.
Rianor5 had told us that he resides in Texas, but will be moving to New Mexico to legally tie the knot with his fiance. The two had been talking for a while, and have done what they can to get as close to each other as possible until they actually have a chance to get married.
They met when Rianor5 had left his Home avatar standing in the Bowling Alley until the "Away" message appeared above him. By the time he looked back, there was a girl standing in front of him, complimenting him on his Trophy Collection. That girl was JE9. They started talking as couples normally would until the situation escalated.
"That was how we met, by complete luck and chance" said Rianor5. Following the wedding was a reception, complete with many guests and a dance floor, kept in the confines of a Clubhouse - away from any wedding crashers.
During our interview, Rianor5 explained what the wedding symbolized and why it was held. "It's a promise ring that signifies that we promise to stay together and love one another in real life." A "promise ring" was how many explained the event. The newlyweds do have plans to get legally married, although not immediate.
The Team Writes - As a magazine that's fully devoted to everything involving PlayStation Home, we'd like to let you all know that what you've done in the virtual world is something we truly honor. Against traditional promise rings and other customs, you led the way in something that could very well become - not only accepted by society's majority - but also welcomed with open arms. Personally, the Team at Home Business Magazine thanks you for thinking outside of the box. The best of luck to you and may you all live happily ever after.
