Sony has really been working hard lately. Since the beginning of GamesCom earlier this month, the PS3 has gotten announcements about a new look, a new price, a big firmware update, a big PlayStation Home update, a new slogan and now a brand new ad campaign. We thought we would show you the two commercials that Sony has released on the PlayStation.Blog, which is due to show up on your TV screen come September 1st to coincide with the official release of the 120GB PlayStation 3 "Slim" models, even though it was possible to pick a few up at a number of retail stores on August 25th...

With our August Edition of Home Business Magazine just a mere three days away, we felt it would be best to show you guys the progress that's been done, along with the cool new things that we plan on doing...
At an attempt to allow our readers to view the upcoming August 2009 Issue of Home Business Magazine, we've been at work trying to make our website mobile-friendly. At this time, we can say that stage one is complete. A few mobile phones have been tested for compatibility. You can also check us out using your PlayStation 3 web browser.
Our readers know that our website was created as a platform to release information and exclusive articles about PlayStation Home. There has always been somewhat of a passion for hating PlayStation Home and everything it stands for among the industry. As I scrolled through a list of articles created by other websites, I came across one from GameDaily.com titled "Top 25 Reasons to Ditch Sony" and while we aren't replying to it as a call out to say "you're wrong", I thought it would be fun to make an opposing article, somewhat similar to what PlayStationLifeStyle.net created. They did decide to take a hit at Home, so it wouldn't be entirely off topic. Read after the jump...
Now that we've made a proper signature, I thought it was perfect time to show you guys a simple new addition to the Home Business Magazine design. This one isn't meant to be used publicly as advertising tools, but as just a watermark for exclusive and collaborative images that we post in the future. Because this one isn't meant as a signature, our actual signature (posted earlier) is still the one used for forums, website and social networking profiles.
The huge amount of content that the PlayStation Home users have received was nothing short of plentiful. Since August 13th, the whole HBM Team has been working nonstop to ensure a much richer magazine with much more content available to the readers. Earlier this afternoon, we've finished the entire summary of what August's first half contained. We also have a brand new and much more detailed Header viewable to the masses the day before our new issue launches on August 30th...
The PlayStation 3 Slim? True. The PlayStation 3 Price Drop? True. Firmware 3.00 announcement? Also true. It looks to us like all the rumors running around since before and after E3 2009 happened to be true. The PS3 Slim & a price drop were both announced, causing huge applause in the audience...
Some rumor and speculation has been brewing about PlayStation Home and whether or not it would be holding a live broadcasting of the German GamesCom in one of the spaces...
There has been quite a bit of controversy between Home users in the PlayStation.com US Forums. So much so, that a new article will be released in time for the August 09 issue of the HB Magazine, slated for an August 30th release. This new article will cover the entire debate at hand. The fight was over a post made on the Home PDA talking about a new item coming in our "inventory", seen from the picture above (courtesy of godsgift1888). On the morning of this item's release, half of the community was outraged, while the other half was calm and controlled. Be sure to drop by on the 30th for the full story.
The poll that you see in the HBM Polls page will be taken down at the launch of the August Issue. The new poll will be replacing the old one at that time. At the time that this post was made, there are only 14 days until the release of the new issue. If you haven't voted in the polls, you have two weeks to do so as of today.
